e-business devlopment figure

Electronic Business, or "e-business", may be defined broadly as any business process that relies on an automated information system. Today, this is mostly done with Web-based technologies. The term "e-business" was coined by Lou Gerstner, CEO of IBM.

Electronic business methods enable companies to link their internal and external data processing systems more efficiently and flexibly, to work more closely with suppliers and partners, and to better satisfy the needs and expectations of their customers.
In practice, e-business usually includes e-commerce. E-commerce seeks to add revenue streams using the Worldwide Web or the Internet to build and enhance relationships with clients and partners and to improve efficiency using the Empty Vessel strategy. Often, e-commerce involves the application of knowledge management systems.
E-business is more than just e-commerce. It involves business processes spanning the entire value chain: electronic purchasing andsupply chain management, processing orders electronically, handling customer service, and cooperating with business partners. Special technical standards for e-business facilitate the exchange of data between companies. E-business software solutions allow the integration of intra and inter firm business processes. E-business can be conducted using the Web, the Internet, intranets, extranets, or some combination of these.

Successful e-business and EBay

E-BUSINESS was very hard to start in past days, special Information Technologist were required there were no software’s availability like these days and huge amount of resource was needed.
E business is not that much difficult to start now days, as advancement of a web technology and safe payment system, such as secured online payment system PayPal etc. Likewise different shopping cart software’s are available. After all these availability everyone can start the e-business.
We can take example of eBay, which has created broad platform to people all   around the world who are interested in buying and selling goods online.
All categories of goods are available in the eBay store posted to sell by different sellers such as electronics, fashions, kitchenware, automobile and most of the things in this world. And buyers from all over the world can buy the goods from one corner of world to another, with protection of their money as a buyer protection system,
Most of the people now a days prefer eBay to buy goods straightaway from the manufacturer or direct wholesaler to reduce the number of middleman, which will significantly decrease the cost of product. If we go to the store we have to buy the product in high price because the numbers of middleman but if you go through the eBay offcourse you will get in cheap price. As we see most of the products available in market are manufactured in china, we can directly buy the product from china.
Likewise, Buying the goods with eBay has some risk rather then its full advantage:
EBay customer support claims less then .01% of total transections result in case of fraud. So buyer should pay through PayPal. Which guarantee from safe payment. When buyers feel that the seller is dishonest he can fill up the dispute form and case him/her. also eBay suspends he member ship if someone has many complaints against him.
